San Francisco Civic Center Plaza Urban Design Urban Design proposal for the Civic Center Plaza in San Francisco, California. Existing urban space was studied and the design was proposed for the city by the Urban Design Committee at AIA San Francisco Chapter. Beaux Arts architecture of the City Hall and classical symmetry in the layout of the plaza was reinforced and the entry from the Market Street was cleared for better use of this important urban space. This proposal was submitted to the city.
